Saw Kennedy fled his country of Myanmar (a.k.a. Burma) in 2000 in fear of ethnic violence and oppression by the Burmese junta military rule with his wife and unborn son. He now lives and works as an artist and refugee case worker in St. Paul, MN, one of the country's largest Karen Burmese community, mostly comprised of refugees.

Mirrors of Common Destiny
In development
Two artists and refugees from war-torn countries put on a joint art exhibition on peace to rouse support and empathy for the plight of their people. The two recount their refugee stories, shed light on the goings-on of their countries, and through their art, they engage in a cross-cultural dialogue on peace and what peace looks like for the country of the other.
